Who We Are

Bethel-Mansfield Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving and supporting children by provoking community and global citizen action against child maltreatment, supporting child educational advancement, and analyzing child welfare data to inform stronger programmatic decisions.

Inspired by Acres Homes

The foundation is based in Acres Homes, Houston, Texas, a historic community whose needs and resilience inspired the organization’s founding. While Acres Homes remains central to our work, Bethel-Mansfield (BEMA) Foundation increasingly collaborates with partners and communities beyond the neighborhood through research initiatives, awareness programs, and community support efforts.
